Welcome To Road America!

Welcome to beautiful Road America, near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Overnight thunderstorms have made for wet grounds and a green race track. But the good thing about a summer storm going through overnight is that the next day usually produces crisp blue skies. That’s the case here today.

We made it just in time to catch the Verizon IndyCar practice, but as I type it has already started so this will be brief. Our morning has gone as planned. We have picked up or golf cart for the weekend and have settled into our spots in the Media Center. Susan snapped this picture just as we pulled onto the grounds.

These structures give you an indication of this facility. There are no bland concrete or metal structures. Many buildings, including the Media Center look like this.

Anyway, we are heading out to watch practice and catch the full flavor that makes up Road America. I will post at least once more today –possibly more. It just depends.

In the meantime, Susan and I will both be posting photos and comments on Twitter. Follow me at @Oilpressureblog and Susan at @MrsOilpressure. Be sure and check back later.
