Welcome To Day Two At Barber

Welcome to what is a cold but beautiful day at barber Motorsports Park. The morning practice is in the books. Simona de Silvestro had the top time this morning, followed by Simon Pagenaud, Scott Dixon, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Dario Franchitti. Obviously the Ganassi cars have found something, although Charlie Kimball is still back at nineteenth quick.

Ironically, AJ Allmendinger posted the fastest time among the Penske drivers.. He was eighth quick, while Will Power posted the tenth quickest and Helio was twelfth quick.

Although it was a balmy forty-one degrees this morning, there is not a cloud in the sky and it is supposed to get up to seventy-five this afternoon. I may have to shed the polar fleece in favor of shorts and a polo by the end of the day.

Qualifying is about to get underway. We’ll be back here afterwards. Thanks for following us through the weekend. Also follow me (@Oilpressureblog) or Susan (@chiapet58) on Twitter for photos and regular tweets through the weekend.

  1. Funny how all the drivers complain about traffic and blocking after waiting with an empty track for the first three minutes of every session.
