An Election Night Hangover

There are very few times when I allow myself to get caught without a post up here on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday. I’ll generally take off a few days around the holidays or announce ahead of time that I’ll be taking a day off here and there.

Today is different. This is an IndyCar site and not a political site. I’m actually fairly passionate when it comes to politics, but I have always chosen to leave my views out of this site as well as my Twitter account (@Oilpressureblog). With that being said, I’ll admit that I got too involved in watching the election returns last night and was never able to push away long enough to write something profound about IndyCar. As it turned out, it was over relatively early – but my mind was not on racing.

Had I been thinking, I would have scheduled a day off, knowing that I would be up late last night. Rather than throw something meaningless up here or rehashing more of the same from the Randy Bernard situation – I’ll ask to be excused for today and will return here on Friday. My apologies.

  1. No need to apologise George. Elections are big, decisive and important days.
And I just found a way to say the same thing three times.

  2. Simon Garfunkel Says:

Hmmm….let’s see…middle aged white guy, living in a solid red state. Sounds conservative in almost everything he writes. I’m betting George is not a happy man this morning.

  3. billytheskink Says:

This election might not be over after all… Doug Boles was just quoted as saying that “Barack Obama’s employment status has not changed”.

  4. This blog is still awesome.
    Thanks, George.
