Calling It A Night

Call it old age or blame it on the heat. I’ll choose the heat. I had planned to do a race recap tonight and post it. It would be an exercise of going through the motions. After the early start to the day, the full events of the day, the heat and the drive back to the hotel – I’m pooped.

Instead, I will put a post up sometime late tomorrow afternoon or early evening – that will be much more coherent than anything I would put up here tonight.

Check back tomorrow.

Oh, yeah; heat just drains the life out of you – ask the drivers. I worked in heat last Saturday and yesterday. If I were baking in the heat as you were then drove three hours back to Columbus (or rode ‘shotgun?’), I’d just want to shower, rehydrate, feed my face an relax…
    Have a safe journey tomorrow.

It took us three hours to get from our hotel to the track Sunday morning. It was probably only forty-five minutes to get back.

  2. Nobody will blame you for taking a couple days off to rest and focus.

Worst overnight TV rating ever. Broke last year’s record low level.

    Good luck Randy.

Thanks for the report George. Too bad there arent’ more fans like you in this sport.
