Was the flip in the weather not covered in the article? I think so. It was pointed out that August has the same temp as May with fewer rain days? A Brazilian winter is not like an Indiana winter. I think August or September would be the perfect time to hold it, given how few races there are in those months.

You do realize that Brazil is on the other side of the Equator. Summer here is winter there. Scheduling a race there in July or August is like December or January here. Seems to me F1 has dibs on Brazilian spring so we're suck with fall.

Frankly, the thought of moving this race to another month never crossed my mind and I thought that a team's sponsorship package included Brazil. I am not a logistics expert, but if it makes sense then do it. t is a wonderful event and I enjoy all of the color and excitement of the São Paulo race. If our friends in South America can put together a second race then I am for that as well. I like the time zone, too.

I'm not sure where I fall in regards of where I want the race on the schedule but I love having an oval leading up to Indianapolis. If not, I would imagine it would make more sense to have a road/street event (Long Beach) in America leading up to Indianapolis. Personally, if you can't make the switch and have Brazil in the fall (our fall) then at least flip flop Long Beach and Brazil that way you have the most prestigious road/street event and the world's most prestigious race back-to-back. The best case scenario for myself though is to see Long Beach stay at it's current slot and put Phoenix in Brazil's slot...however, here comes the difficult part. Move Barber up one week (March 31st) so that way you have back to back races to start the season (momentum!) and then slot Brazil for the April 14th weekend. So the schedule would be as followed: St Petersburg (March 24th), Barber (March 31st), Sao Paulo (April 14th - a two week gap leading up to the race to help the teams pack), Long Beach (April 28th- this would give the teams more time to pack up and rest when they arrive back to America) Phoenix (May 5th - back to back races on the west coast and an oval leading up to Indianapolis!!) Essentially, you add one more race in the first half of the schedule, keep all the other dates for the events around the same time and add an oval before Indy!
