This has nothing to do with IndyCar going back to CART or the split. People are angry that the first head of open-wheel racing to actually listen to fans and try to give them what they wanted was chopped down at the knees. Fans feel like this action sends a message from the board that they don’t matter – which resembles the message they got from the previous regime. I’m not sure what you mean by “getting what they wished for”.

Fans are frustrated. This post was on how fans can ease their frustration. I don’t really know why you would have a problem with that. – GP

When the wind is off Lake Michigan I can hear IndyCars practicing a few miles east at the Milwaukee Mile. That never fails to elevate my heart rate and I stop what I am doing and go there. Next year I will do the same despite my frustration with recent events. Speed rules.

In the meantime, there are always the annual bar stool races in Drummond, Wisconsin. Ya strap a pair of skis on a standard bar stool (aero kits permitted and no limit on duct tape), have a beverage or two, and go racing down the slope. Speed rules.

But I just don’t care right now. And Indycar doesn’t seem to mind that I don’t care.
