I could see--of all prime-time Nascarers--Kurt Busch wanting to try it. And maybe being good at it. If--like you said--he's out of the chase. Of course, Dodge might have something to say about that...

When Luczo-Dragon first showed up at Indianapolis with Ryan Briscoe (at that time a Penske Racing ALMS driver) in a car that threw back to the late 80's Penske look, I thought Luczo-Dragon was going to be a feeder or maybe a "relegation" team for Jay's Dad's team. They appeared to lose direction with the hires of Scheckter and Matos, but now they're back to hiring Dad's old drivers. Tracy made his mid-90's noise with Penske Racing and Hornish is Roger's last great American star.

Another thought: if they're not in the points fight at the end of the Sprint Cup season, could Jay field a car for Brad Keselowski or Kurt Busch?

It's good that you're not a Tracy fan, George. That's what Tracy brings to the series. He has a devisive personality. So people are not usually on the fence about PT, they either really like him or really dislike him. Personally, he went up in my estimation when I saw how crushed he was not to make the 500 last year.

And also...Go Bulldogs!

I see it as an excellent short term fix. PT is the perfect driver to shakedown the car and give correct information to the team. I am pulling for Jay to become one of the top teams in the sport.

Please accept that there are PT fans and we are not blind, stupid, or stuck in the past. His full time (or five race) presence would be excellent for the sport regardless of how you feel about him. I like your blog a lot, but your personal dislike of PT is getting old, although I do appreciate that you agree Dragon and Tracy might make a good combo. Otherwise, good post as always.
