Indy Lights Underway

The Firestone Indy Lights are now underway. They look much faster on this track than they did at Nashville Superspeedway. This is the first time I’ve seen them in person since they changed their sound. BIG improvent.

From what I hear, there are a few kinks to be worked out with the crowd, etc., but this already has the feel of a big event and it’s only Friday morning. The Izod IndyCar Series cars have not even taken to the track yet, and it’s already been a full day with the Rolex series, the Continental Tire series and the Firestone Indy Lights.

It’s great to mingle through the paddock and pit area and just breathe all of the different fumes. I sure wish I was at work today.

Back in a bit.

  1. My only issue with the Dallara Indy Lights chassis is the placement of the radiator… which forces the prime sponsor area (the sidepod) to have a big hole in most of the FIL races.

  2. George-you are gonna have to work on your sarcasm-

Enjoy your weekend, it should be a blast!

Two questions if you get in front of the Boss, if you please?

When will the members of the ICONIC panel be named?

Are there any engine builders other than Honda still in negitions with the IRL, and can you provide any detail about the furute engine specifications?

    Thank you.

Your experiences at Barber only make me more envious — wish I was there! But I’ll have to settle for live-streaming (I hope) and Versus.

Way to go George! I will be checking the Oilpressure.com website frequently this weekend.
